Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, Yousef Al-Aqouri, has called on Turkish companies to resume their projects in Libya and contribute to investment in the country.

In a phone call with the head of the Libyan-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Turkish National Assembly, Ahmed Yildiz, Al-Aqouri stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in commercial and scientific fields, and to encourage partnerships between universities and municipalities of both countries.

He stressed the depth of relations between the two countries, which he described as based on mutual respect and joint interests.

The House of Representatives is in constant coordination and cooperation with the Turkish National Assembly, especially in this difficult period, Al-Aqouri added.

For his part, Yildiz said that work is underway to resume Turkish Airlines flights to Libya, stressing the importance of cooperation at the parliamentary level.
