Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Numan Kurtulmuş, briefed his Libyan counterpart, Aqila Saleh, on Turkey's current priorities in Libya during their meeting in Ankara on Wednesday.

A statement by the Turkish Parliament said the meeting discussed regional developments, parliamentary relations, and views on the situation regarding the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

According to the same source, Kurtulmuş assured Saleh that Turkey's foremost priority in Libya is to ensure political stability and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the HoR spokesman, Abdullah Beliheg, said that Saleh affirmed to Kurtulmuş the HoR's stance on forming a new government tasked with overseeing the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.

Saleh arrived in Ankara on Tuesday at the head of a delegation comprising MPs, where they were received by Libya's Ambassador to Turkey, Mustafa Al-Ghaleb, and several Turkish officials.
