The Libya Crime Watch (LCW) has called on the Libyan Attorney General to open an urgent and transparent investigation to reveal the fate of the member of the House of Representatives, Ibrahim Al-Darsi.
This comes 100 days after Al-Darsi's arbitrary disappearance in Benghazi, on May 16, 2024, and his fate remains unknown, and no information has been revealed about the circumstances of the incident or the party responsible for it.
The LCW demanded in a statement via its official account on Facebook the Attorney General to hold those responsible for Al-Darsi's disappearance accountable in accordance with international human rights standards.
It also called on the authorities in eastern Libya to respect and protect human rights, and to work to immediately reveal Al-Darsi's fate, and to take all necessary measures to ensure his safety and release him.
It is to be noted that Al-Darsi is not the first member of the House of Representatives to disappear in mysterious circumstances, as he was preceded by the disappearance of Siham Sergiwa 5 years ago, when she was kidnapped by Haftar's militias, and her fate has not been revealed yet.
