Warlord Khalifa Haftar said on Wednesday that his army will announce victory in Tripoli over the terrorists and their backers very soon, after more than 100 days of deadly clashes.
In a speech to his armed groups, Haftar said they are facing “the most ferocious enemy on earth”, in reference to Libyan Army forces under UN-recognized government in Tripoli.
“You are the flames of the fire, you are the fortress, you are the cannon, you are the tank, you are the bomber, you are the combat boat, you are the gun,” Haftar addressed his fatigued armed groups battling to gain advance in south Tripoli front lines.
“You are the lions in the battlefield, you have dazzled the world with your bravery,” he continued his short morale-boosting speech.
Haftar launched a surprise attack on Tripoli on April 04 claiming he would control the capital in just a few days, but his armed groups failed to breach the southern defences of the city.
Haftar’s armed groups announced last Monday another “zero hour” to control Tripoli, but their attempt went in vain.
