UNICEF Libya partners with Libyan Wings to reimagine a better future for children
UNICEF Libya signed a partnership agreement with Libyan Wings, a private airline company, on Thursday with the aim to support the commemoration of UNICEF 75th anniversary which reaffirm UNICEF’s role as a leading architect and advocate for children's rights in Libya at this critical time as the country is aspiring for a better future.
“We are all here today because the UNICEF recognizes the critical role in which the private sector plays in achieving sustainable and tangible change for children.” Said Cristina Brugiolo, UNICEF Deputy Special Representative to Libya.
“Through our partnership with Libyan Wings Airlines, we are looking forward to leveraging the strengths of the private sector on behalf of the children and young people in Libya including awareness on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Children.” She added.
Over the course of the partnership, UNICEF and Libyan Wings will be cooperating to complete the anniversary with events and announcements celebrating three-quarters of a century of protecting children from conflict, disease, and exclusion and preserving their rights to well-being, health, and education. Under this partnership, Libyan Wings will support UNICEF through a series of events and publications which will reflect upon UNICEF’s legacy of impact, highlight its current ground-breaking work and advocacy priorities in vaccine delivery, education, and child protection.
