Minister in charge of economic and trade affairs Ali Al-Abed, has met with representatives from the US company SolarCode to explore investment opportunities in renewable energies.
The meeting included the Director-General of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion, the head of the Renewable Energy Authority, and representatives of the US company specialized in producing renewable and clean energy.
The two sides reviewed the possibility of implementing projects that meet Libya's energy needs, contribute to the development of the renewable energy sector in the country, and create export opportunities in the region.
Al-Abed said that Libya has the potential to be one of the leading producing countries for clean energy due to its rich natural resources, emphasizing that such a goal is a priority for the Government of National Unity.
