‎The Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Huweij, received his Tunisian counterpart, Minister of Trade and Export Development, Samir Obeid, and his accompanying delegation on Friday evening, in the presence of the Head of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Mohammed Al-Reid. 

The Tunisian delegation accompanying Minister Samir Obeid included officials from the Tunisian Ministry of Trade and Export Development and the Tunisian Union of Trade and Industry, and their visit to Tripoli aimed to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment, and to overcome obstacles facing business owners and companies dealing in both countries.

The Ministry said that during the visit, the Libyan-Tunisian Joint Economic Committee convened and discussed a number of files of interest to the two countries. Earlier, Tunisian Prime Minister Kamal Maddouri announced the convening of the joint committee with Libya for trade on Saturday in the city of Tripoli, stressing his country's aspiration to expand areas of cooperation between the two sides.
