The activities of the Second National Conference on Women and Elections were launched in Tripoli on Monday under the title “Legal reforms supporting women in the field of candidacy for elections.”
This conference is organized by the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) in cooperation with UN Women, the United Nations Development Programme, and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
It was attended by HNEC Member Rabab Halab, Director-General Mohammed Iqhais, and the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Stephanie Koury.
