The Libyan Army Chief, Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Haddad, briefed Muhammed Menfi, the Head of the Presidential Council, on the development to establish a joint force that acts as a nucleus for unifying the military institution.
The two officials met in Tripoli Sunday to discuss the security and military situation in the country.
Earlier, media outlets reported that plans have been set to establish a joint force consisting of three military battalions from the west, east, and south to intervene in the southern region, with the leadership of Al-Haddad, and the chief of Khalifa Haftar's forces, Abdul Razzaq Al-Nadouri.
