Al-Ittihad won the Super Cup title after defeating Al-Ahly Tripoli on penalties (6-5) after the end of match 1-1 at Tripoli International Stadium on Friday evening.
Al-Ittihad scored first by Saleh Al-Taher from a header in the 15th minute before Mohamed Mounir equalized the score with a goal from a penalty kick for Al-Ahly Tripoli in the last minute of the match.
Lucky shootouts smiled to Al-Ittihad players to win over their historic rival with 6-5 and win the 11th Super Cup title in the club’s history.
