A match for the first leg quarterfinals of the 2021-22 CAF Confederation Cup between Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly Tripoli ended with a goalless draw at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Benghazi on Sunday.
The two teams will meet again at the same stadium next week to decide who will go through to the semi-finals.
The first half saw limited goal-scoring chances from both sides, with a shot by Al Ittihad player Omar Al Khoja in the first 10 minutes and another for Al Ahly by Muhammad Al-Tarhuni that failed to land in the net.
After the break, Al-Ahly dominated the field but without posing a significant threat, while a ball passed by Al Ittihad defender Talal Farhat almost made its way through his team’s net.
