The family of Al-Ittihad and the national team footballer, Mohammed Zaabiya, confirmed Thursday, his release, after his detention by gunmen affiliated with the Stabilization Support Service since last Thursday.
People close to the player's family and Al-Ittihad Football Club confirmed that Mohammed Zaabiya is now home among his family members, and that "the ordeal of his detention without charge" is over.
Zaabiya was detained by the gunmen after his argument with them while visiting a friend with gunshot wounds in Al-Zawiya Street Hospital in the capital, Tripoli.
