The Vice President of the Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, met with the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Aydar Aganin, on Sunday to discuss Libya's political developments and international and regional issues.
According to the PC media office, the meeting addressed the national reconciliation file and preparations for the National Conference scheduled to be held in Sirte on April 28.
Al-Lafi praised Russia's support for the peace process in Libya and all efforts exerted to achieve permanent stability in Libya.
For his part, the Russian official commended the PC's role in addressing the political deadlock and restoring confidence among all parties.
