The Deputy Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, said the council will continue to carry out its tasks, including national reconciliation, for the stability of the country despite all challenges.

Al-Lafi, as he concluded his Egypt visit, said Libyans have no choice but to stick to national reconciliation, hold general elections on time and thus safeguard their country to peace and stability.

Al-Lafi and the Libyan Justice Minister, Halima Abdelrahman, met with a number of Gaddafi regime figures in Cairo, including Ahmed Gaddaf Al-Dam, Muammar Gaddafi's cousin.

The Deputy Head discussed on his visit to Cairo the mechanisms for engaging displaced Libyans and the various political and social representatives in a national reconciliation project that helps establish security and stability in Libya.
