President Muhammed Menfi of the Presidential Council on Saturday briefed the Prime Minister and the Head of the High Council State (HCS) on his meetings in Benghazi with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the rogue military commander Khalifa Haftar.

According to the PC head media office, Menfi spoke with PM Dbiebah and HCS head Takala on the phone after returning to Tripoli.

During the call, Menfi shared the agreements made in Benghazi regarding "national constants" such as national ownership and dialogue, which the PC said was crucial for ensuring stability and conducting elections as soon as possible.

Following their meeting in Benghazi, the trio issued a joint statement saying that they would not be part of any committees related to the political situation "except within the internal national framework and nothing else."
