The special envoy of President Putin to Libya conveyed a letter to the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, on Sunday.
Menfi received the Russian envoy at his Office in Tripoli in the presence of Russia's Ambassador to Libya, Haider Rashid.
According to the PC media office, the parties discussed the enhancement of Libyan-Russian relations, advancing the political process, preserving Libyan sovereignty, non-interference in the internal affairs of countries, and fulfilling the desire of the Libyan people to reach elections.
However, the PC media office did not disclose further details regarding Putin's letter to Menfi.
It's worth noting that the visit of the Russian official to Tripoli came just a few days after the visit of the head of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, to Moscow and the Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Yunusbey Yevkirov's visit to Benghazi.
