The head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mishri, and the Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, have stressed the need for continued consultation and consensus among all political actors to preserve calm and stability, establish comprehensive national reconciliation, and reach national elections.

Williams also met with the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammed Menfi and PC member, Abdullah Al-Lafi to review the latest developments in Libya.

“We took note of the spirit of consensus exhibited by the House of Representatives (HoR) and the HCS and emphasized the importance of maintaining calm”, William tweeted.
