The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mishri, on Monday, presented to the French president's envoy to Libya a proposal for a roadmap to elections, which he said they would forward to the HCS and the Parliament for revision and approval, the HCS media office said.

The two sides reviewed the work of the 6+6 Committee concerned with preparing the voting laws, which it presented at the end of its meetings in Morocco early this month.

The French envoy expressed to Al-Mishri his country's support for the relevant drafted laws, noting the French delegate's praise in the Security Council session of the results and efforts of the 6+6 Committee.

He also affirmed his country's support for Libyan sovereignty, hoping that work will continue until reaching a roadmap for elections.

Before meeting Al-Mishri, the French envoy met Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and discussed with him the development of the electoral process and government spending, according to the PM's media office.
