Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj discussed on Saturday with General Thomas Waldhauser, Commander of the US Africa Command "AFRICOM", strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference focused on the possibility of increasing and expanding security and military coordination with the Libyan military and security apparatuses, beyond cooperation in the fight against terrorism, and to include support, capacity-building and training programs, according to the PC's head Press Office.
In this regard, Al-Sarraj called for the preparation of a field training program for special military units with the assistance of AFRICOM.
