Head of Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, has discussed with the Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), Gen. Michael Langley, enhancing security partnership and developing security and military cooperation between the two countries.
This came during a meeting held in Tripoli in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, and the Chief of General Staff of the Army, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Haddad.
According to a statement by Presidential Council Media, the meeting focused on enhancing partnership between Libya and the United States, in a way that serves the common goals and interests of both countries.
The meeting discussed ways to develop security and military cooperation between the two countries, including the exchange of expertise in combating terrorism and organized crime and monitoring and controlling borders, the statement added.
