The US Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, has stressed the importance of transparency in improving the business climate in Libya, according to a statement published by the embassy via its account on the X platform on Friday.
Berndt met on Friday in the Tunisian capital with the Minister of Economy and Trade of the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, to discuss ways to enhance economic cooperation between the United States and Libya.
Berndt also said in his statement, "We discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between the United States and Libya, and the importance of transparency to improve the business climate in Libya and strengthen trade and investment ties."
