The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and the Greek Ambassador to Libya, Nikolas Garledinis, stressed "the importance of resuming direct flights with the aim of enhancing communication and facilitating movement between the two countries," according to a statement issued by Dbeibah's media office.
This came during a Monday meeting in Tripoli, where they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation by encouraging the exchange of visits between Libyan and Greek officials, in addition to cooperation in the civil aviation sector.
In June, the Minister of Transport in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, called on Greek companies to operate in Libya and to resume direct flights between Greece and Libyan airports.
