EgyptAir said that bad weather conditions led to changing its plane route and landing at Athens International Airport instead of Benina Airport in Libya's Benghazi.
EgyptAir said in a statement that its flight No. MS829: a B737-800 plane, which was heading from Cairo International Airport to Benina International Airport in Benghazi, with 111 passengers on board, changed its route and landed at Athens International Airport due to the lack of visibility because of dust, and the difficulty of landing at the airport.
