A fire broke out in four farms adjacent to a neighbourhood in the Tassawa area of Wadi Utbah municipality, burning dozens of palm trees, and causing losses to sheep pens and citizens' property.
Local sources in the municipality said that the fire, which expanded due to light winds, devoured large areas of farms and palm trees, and losses were recorded in a number of sheep pens and dozens of palm trees.
The citizens - who tried to put out the fire with simple capabilities and machines - appealed to government agencies and local authorities to provide a fire engine due to the frequent fires in the municipality of Wadi Utbah, which led to material and human losses.
