The National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported that the firefighting teams of the Harouge and Sirte companies were able to contain a fire that broke out in the oil pumping pipelines of the Harouge Oil Operations Company.
The NOC explained that the fire broke out at point 160 to 162 kilometers in the main shipping pipeline connecting the Amal field and Ras Lanuf oil port.
According to the NOC, the fire broke out while digging to repair the pipeline, without causing any material or human losses. It expected that maintenance operations would resume in the coming hours.
