The French Ambassador to Libya, Beatrice de Helen, has received the members of the Joint Military Commission (JMC) 5+5 in an honoring ceremony at her country's embassy in Tunisia.

During the ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, du Helen praised the JMC's commitment to creating a strong, united and sovereign state, the French embassy tweeted.

France chaired on Tuesday the plenary meeting of the Security Working Group for Libya in Tunisia, in collaboration with the Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams.

“We were joined by the entirety of the JMC 5+5, as well as other co-chairs, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy, and the African Union, for a valuable discussion on ceasefire monitoring, disarmament and demobilization, and the way forward on the JMC 5+5’s work”, Williams tweeted.
