A new batch of medical and paramedical professionals from Bangladesh arrived in Libya on Thursday.

The group is part of a mutual agreement to bring in 2,000 healthcare workers from Bangladesh to operate health facilities in remote regions of Libya.

Before their arrival, the expatriates underwent a test in Bangladesh conducted by a specialized committee formed by Libya's Minister of Health.

Libya's Health Ministry said the step is part of its ongoing efforts to find solutions to the shortage of medical staff in remote areas.
