The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has announced the start of excavation work for the Derna Injection Station project, aimed at boosting the power grid’s efficiency and stability.
The project, with a capacity of 11/66 kV, is being carried out by the Engineering Company for Electrical and Mechanical Works.
Supervised by the Derna Distribution Projects Department, the initiative is part of GECOL’s urgent plans to improve electricity services across all Libyan cities and regions.
The company’s management has prioritized this effort to ensure a more reliable and stable power supply in light of ongoing challenges faced by the country’s energy infrastructure.
