The General Electric Company of Libya (GECOL) has announced the return of electricity to the city of Tawergha after a period of 7 years of blackout.

The GECOL explained on Facebook that the company's engineers were able to charge the feeding station and light up the main roads in the city.

For his part, the information officer of the Local Council Tawergha Abdul Razek Kassem said that efforts are continuing to return water supply to the city, indicating that dozens of displaced families have already returned to the city after the restoration of electricity.
