The Chairman of the Board of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, received on Sunday, the German Special Envoy to Libya, Christian Buck, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Buck expressed his government appreciation for the HNEC efforts to hold the elections in accordance with the international standards, confirming readiness to provide technical and advisory support.
This visit comes within the framework of the international community’s support for the democratic process in Libya, and to review the level of readiness of the HNEC to implement the municipal council elections scheduled to be implemented during this year.
