The head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, hosted a meeting with the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday.
The HNEC said the purpose of the visit was to assess the Commission's preparedness for the 2024 municipal council elections and seek international support for Libya's democratic process.
During the meeting, Ohnmacht commended the Commission for its efforts to uphold international election standards and expressed Germany's willingness to offer technical and advisory assistance to the HNEC in its preparations for the forthcoming elections.
