Gharyan municipality announced the agreement on the return of all displaced citizens from the city who have been away since 2011, with the exception of those who have cases pending before the Libyan judiciary.
The municipality said this step comes in implementation of what has been stated in the Comprehensive National Reconciliation Charter announced on 1/1/2024 in the city of Gharyan.
In a statement published on its official Facebook page, the municipality called on all the displaced people from Gharyan to return to their city and their families, whether they are residing inside or outside the country, and to forget the past.
The statement confirmed that the Comprehensive Reconciliation Committee will continue to carry out its tasks and continue to cooperate with everyone who wishes to contribute to the success of comprehensive reconciliation among the fellow citizens in the city of Gharyan.
