A source from the High Council of State said that the Council will hold on Sunday an important meeting at its headquarters in Tripoli to study whether to participate in the Paris meeting to be held next Tuesday, May 29.
The source said most members support the idea of boycotting the meeting as it was seen as an attempt to abolish the political agreement and legitimize the leader of the Dignity Operation Khalifa Hafter, while other members of the Council said that it will expand the recognition of the Council and will be an opportunity to present their point of view.
President Khaled al-Mishri received an official invitation from the envoy of the French president last week to participate in Paris meeting.
