Heads of the permanent committees of the High Council of State (HCS) have discussed with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo on Tuesday the latest developments of the political and economic situation in Libya, including the role of HCS in advancing the political process towards elections.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Head of the United Nations Mission in Libya, Stephanie Koury, heads of the standing committees stressed the need to put an end to obstruction of HCS in performing its assigned tasks.
They also reaffirmed their rejection of what they called "unilateral decisions", especially those related to the crisis of the Central Bank of Libya and the risks it has caused to Libya's financial situation locally and internationally.
