The Head of the Political Agreement Amendment Committee of the High Council of State Mousa Faraj said Friday that their latest decision at the HCS meeting was not a total rejection of Ghassan Salame’s amendments’ proposal but it was “a note on the structure of the proposal” saying selecting the Presidential Council members by the House of Representatives alone as per Salame’s initiative is a grip on power and political as well as security and economic authorities in Libya.

Regarding the early elections proposal, Mousa said it was an initiative that was sent to the legal commission for review.
