Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh has stressed the need to form a unified government with specific tasks and the ability to impose its authority nationwide.

Aqilah's remarks came at a meeting with the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall on Wednesday.

The Spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Blehaq, said in a brief statement that the two sides discussed developments in the country at all levels.

The meeting touched on the efforts made to hold presidential and parliamentary elections and the ongoing meetings of the 6 + 6 Joint Committee in Morocco, Blehaq added.
