The Libyan Ministry of Housing discussed the adoption of the urban plan for the “Sidi Sultan Al-Fatayeh” area in Derna, with an area of 1,300 hectares.

This announcement came during Minister Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi’s meeting with members of the High Council of State, as they discussed the provision for approving American consulting offices to prepare the infrastructure plan for the city of Derna.

Al-Ghawi said that the plans were presented to the Government of National Unity at its latest cabinet meeting, which was held in Gharyan last week. He added that the Ministry of Housing and its affiliated bodies showed great interest in Derna, stressing that the two proposals, if approved, would commence soon.

According to the Ministry’s media office, members of the HCS called on the government to urgently adopt a proposal to give rent allowances to families affected by Storm Daniel.
