The International Organization for Migration has announced the displacement of over 5,800 people in Ghat in southwestern Libya, after heavy rains caused floods in the towns of Ghat and Tahalla.
The organization's office in Libya said that the majority of the displaced were hosted by their families in their homes, while others were accommodated in camps and schools, according to a statement on its Facebook page on Monday.
The displaced were 720 people in Thalla, 3,280 people in Ghat, 100 people in the Icynne Valley, and 1,725 people in Al-Barakat.
