The members of the Joint Military Commission (JMC) 5 + 5 have briefed the Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah on the results of their meeting last week with the Security Working Group (SWG), according to a statement by the Government of National Unity on Monday.

The statement quoted Dbeibah as praising the JMC efforts in unifying the Libyan military institution, achieving security and stability, and supporting the political process, leading to the electoral process.

The SWG of the United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Italy and the African Union emanating from the International Follow-up Committee for the Berlin Process, held last week its first meeting inside Libya since its establishment following the Berlin conferences on Libya in 2020 and 2021.
