The Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Koury, has held talks with Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita on advancing the political process in Libya towards elections.
“In Rabat, I met with Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. We emphasized the crucial role of regional actors in supporting UNSMIL efforts. I commended Morocco's past facilitation of Libyan agreements”, Koury said on her X platform page.
It is noteworthy that the political process in Libya is witnessing a state of stagnation, coinciding with Stephanie Koury’s attempt to bring the Libyan parties to a dialogue table to resolve the controversial issues regarding the elections.
