Libya and the African Union (AU) Commission have reiterated the critical need for collaboration and coordination to support Libya’s drive for sustainability, stability, and national reconciliation, as well as the completion of its electoral process.
The announcement came after a meeting between Libya’s Foreign Minister, Al-Taher Al-Baour, and the African Union’s Special Representative to Libya, Wahida Ayari, in Tripoli on Tuesday.
According to the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions centred on the African Union’s role in advancing Libya’s national reconciliation efforts. The two sides also addressed support for the Government of National Unity in achieving peace and stability.
