The Government of National Unity (GNU) has dismissed claims that it is preparing to accept Palestinian refugees. A report published by American Thinker suggested that Libya was ready to receive displaced Palestinians, but the government has called these allegations “completely fabricated.”
In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Media Office said the report lacked credibility and was published by a platform known for spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories. It also criticized the report’s author, Jerome Corsi, describing him as having a history of publishing misleading content.
The GNU expressed concern that local media outlets had shared the report without verification. It reiterated that all official policies are announced through government channels and reaffirmed Libya’s long-standing support for the Palestinian cause.
