Libyan Coast Guard returned 13,000 migrants since the start of this year

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Libyan Coast Guard has returned approximately 13,000 immigrants and refugees since the beginning of this year alone.
The UNHCR indicated that the number of those who were returned and disembarked at Libyan ports has increased sharply, noting that in excess of 1,000 individuals were disembarked in Tripoli and Al-Zawiya on June 12.
Meanwhile, the UNHCR declared that it had distributed basic relief items to 67 displaced families in Abu Qarin and Al-Washka, along with providing cash assistance to 349 refugee families and asylum seekers in urban areas.
