The Libyan Organization for the Care of Families of the Martyrs, the Missing and the Wounded has lambasted the head of the Media Foundation, Mohammed Bayo, for describing the aggression of warlord Khalifa Haftar on Tripoli as "civil war."

The Organization said in a statement on Wednesday that the war that was raging on the outskirts of Tripoli was not a civil war, stressing that it was a terrorist attack launched by Haftar with Egyptian, French and Emirati support of weapons and mercenaries.

The statement showed support to the Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade, which arrested Bayo, who was a prominent Gaddafi regime figure and current backer of Haftar.

Many political, media and military personalities had rejected Bayo’s appointment as head of the Media Foundation and his current decisions, which go in favour of Haftar.
