The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah arrived in Malta's capital Valletta and met afterwards with the Maltese counterpart Robert Abela. The meeting was attended by Governor of Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir and a number of ministers and officials in addition to several Maltese ministers.

The meeting on Wednesday saw discussions on joint cooperation in health, environment, maritime resources and illegal immigration fields in addition to opening airspace between Libya and Malta.

Dbeibah reiterated the importance of cooperation between the two countries as per his government's vision for reforming healthcare sector in Libya, and improving services, adding that Malta has a significant role via its embassy in Libya to push forth this cooperation by giving visas to Libyans and encouraging private sector cooperation in the two countries.
