The Minister of Local Government, Badr El-Din Al-Toumi, has reviewed the proposal for the third phase of the municipal support program presented by the German Organization for Technical Cooperation, which aims to support 30 municipalities in the field of enhancing decentralization and enabling municipalities to manage their competencies, develop local capabilities and revenues, and manage solid waste.
This came during his meeting with the heads of departments and offices related to the implementation of the program, stressing the necessity of studying the proposal in detail and recording notes to be discussed in an expanded meeting that will be held with the German institution at the end of next week.
The Minister also praised the role of the German Foundation for Technical Cooperation in providing support and assistance to local municipalities, saying that it has become a true partner in designing international cooperation programs, in order to ensure the implementation of projects in line with the actual needs of the municipalities.
