The Ministries of Justice and Interior have classified a new set of drugs as narcotic, according to the updates of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
Minister of Justice Halima Abdel Rahman said during a meeting with Interior Minister Imad Trabelsi on Thursday that drug abuse is impacting the whole world at all levels.
She pointed out that this prompted them to exert more effort to combat its spread and its effects on the individual and society.
The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Training Department at the Ministry of Interior, the Director of the Ministry's Legal Office, and the Head of the Judicial Expertise and Research Center.
