The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, has issued a decision banning the import of goods containing words or images that violate public morals, contradict Islamic law, or relate to the Zionist entity.

The decision bans the supply of clothes, fabrics, textiles, shoes, and all goods that contain words, phrases, drawings, images, symbols, slogans, or flags that violate public order and violate public morals of the Libyan society or are inconsistent with the Islamic faith, or those associated with any terrorist organization or related to the Zionist entity.”

The decision also provides in its second article that the Customs Authority and the various law enforcement agencies should take all legal measures against violators in accordance with the legislation in force.
