The Minister of Economy in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Huwaij, affirmed that the Ministry has referred the Consumer Protection Law to the competent authorities.
This came during his meeting with the President of the Libyan Federation of Consumer Protection Associations, Ahmed Al-Kurdi, at the Ministry HQ.
Al-Huwaij confirmed that the ministry submitted a proposal regarding the establishment of a Consumer Protection Authority, pointing to the importance of the role of the regulatory agencies to protect consumer rights and follow up on the local market, especially before the month of Ramadan.
