The National Safety Authority confirmed on Monday that its divisions in Al-Wahat region, southeast of Libya, successfully controlled the fire that broke out in the palm farms in the Laba area of Jalu due to high temperatures.
The teams in Jalu, Ajkharra, and Awjila managed to control the fire with the cooperation of oil companies, the authority stated on its Facebook account, praising the efforts of the firefighters in handling the situation.
On Monday, the Al-Wahat Jalu Security Directorate announced the outbreak of a major fire in the Laba area near the old public market, appealing to owners of water transport vehicles to assist in extinguishing the fire and refilling the fire trucks.
